Going the distance at work and in the community
Meet Rachel Taylor. Based at our sales office in Burswood, Western Australia, Rachel has spent the past 18 years building a successful career at Bradken. In her current role as Regional Sales Manager supporting Fortescue Mining in the Pilbara region, she partners with one of Bradken's largest Australasian customers, working closely with site and operational teams to understand their challenges and deliver value where it matters most. For Rachel, however, it's the relationships she's built along the way, with customers, colleagues and the wider community, that have made her career at Bradken particularly rewarding.

Driven by determination
As Rachel prepares for her tenth consecutive ride this October, she's motivated by knowing the funds raised contribute to research, support services and hope for those affected by cancer. It's a reminder that when people come together behind a common goal, even small contributions can make a lasting difference.
“10 years ago, I was looking for an opportunity to challenge myself physically. What keeps me coming back is knowing that the money raised goes towards creating better outcomes for individuals and families facing cancer.
“The ride has its challenges and has taught me a lot about - 200km is a long way!” says Rachel. “There’s a lot of training involved, early mornings at the gym, and riding in the rain and wind is the worst… sometimes I feel like I could walk faster! But what gets me through these challenges is my commitment to making a difference and knowing that these conditions are nothing in comparison to what people with cancer go through. I’m very proud of my achievements.”
